STS Mastering Valve Workshop Resident Scholarship
The Resident Scholarship for the STS Mastering Valve Workshop allows CT surgery residents to learn advanced surgical and transcatheter techniques in valve surgery and atrial fibrillation. Senior-level or chief CT surgery residents from the U.S. or Canada are eligible to apply for this scholarship. The scholarship covers course registration fees, two nights lodging at the host hotel, and a stipend to defray the cost of travel and meals.

This Resident Scholarship allows CT surgery residents to attend the STS Mastering Valve Workshop and learn advanced surgical and transcatheter techniques in valve surgery and atrial fibrillation. Course Description
The two-day course includes lectures, case-based presentations, and hands-on simulation breakout sessions. The purpose of the event is to guide cardiac surgeons in mastering modern-day valve surgery, including all aspects of open and transcatheter valve surgery, including aortic, mitral, and tricuspid valves. Additionally, there is a session dedicated to atrial fibrillation. The workshop covers advanced valve techniques such as aortic root enlargement, Ross, and minimally invasive valve surgery and will feature the transcatheter therapies that the surgeons must know. Eligibility
Senior-level or chief CT surgery residents enrolled in an ACGME-approved program in the U.S. or Canada are eligible to apply.
Award Amount
This award is valued at $2,000. The scholarship covers course registration fees, two nights lodging at the host hotel, and a stipend to defray the cost of travel and meals.
